An Introduction and Offering

I am so grateful and honored. My journey as a practitioner in the world of wellness, coaching, healing and teaching has allowed me to cross paths with so many amazing people; each and every one has been an integral part of my growth and development as a practitioner.


Recently, I chose to leave the fitness center world and am now stepping into my own teaching/coaching practice. Over my many years, I have developed a perspective on exercise, movement, and the body that differs from that found in the traditional world of fitness.


In the fitness world, our focus tends to be on numbers and visible outcome. Exercise is prescribed with an emphasis on pushing beyond what the body is comfortable with. The focus can be somewhat mechanistic. But you are not a machine.


I have witnessed over the years that so many of us:

      ** Struggle with exercise and going to the gym

      ** Feel tension, discomfort, restriction in body and self

      ** Experience challenges with mobility, strength, balance

      ** Do not trust our bodies

 

Are you open to considering another way?


I am offering a class in October, which is the initial component of a series: Journey to the Turquoise Body. We will begin with the Foundation.


This class is a safe space for curiosity, exploration and discovery of:

      ** Muscle and movement awareness as a pathway to greater strength and mobility

      ** Your capability to move and feel better in your body

      ** An improved sense of flow and ease

      ** How to trust and listen to body and self



Foundation of The Turquoise Body - with Deb Arthur


This is a movement class. A journey. An exploration.

  • This series includes 8 Classes (60 minutes each)

  • Class size is limited to allow for individual attention within the group experience

  • The class will be on consecutive Wednesdays, beginning on October 1st, at 10:00am

  • The location is South Portland, Maine


What you need to bring with you:

  • an exercise/yoga mat

  • water bottle

  • notebook and pen

  • wear comfortable clothing that’s easy to move in

  • socks (shoes must be removed before entering the space)

  • curiosity


Investment: Your investment to take this class is $320. At times, during the series, I will ask for your feedback and insights.
